Our new greenhouse is very close to being “done”. Remaining items:
- Get poly on the endwalls
- Install exhaust fans in far endwall
- Wire up the exhaust fans, intake shutters, and thermostats.
- Build first pool with pond liner
- Get aeration blower wired up and online.
- Purchase / install aquarium heaters in pool.
- Purchase / install water temperature sensor
- May need to install a wifi signal boosting widget (current wifi signal at greenhouse is likely subpar)
- Plant some lettuce in there.
So we’re pretty close. Always fun to estimate how long it will take (best laid plans), but 2-3 weeks seems reasonable. Which potentially means we could be pulling our first harvests from the greenhouse before July(?) We shall see how it goes.
We’ve had some good lettuce harvests this past month and have been able to bring some surplus to the market. Hoping we can continue that in the coming weeks. Should no longer be a concern once the big greenhouse is online.
